A LEADERSHIP
ROLE IN GOLF

The PGA of America’s commitment to achieving greater diversity in participation in the game and business of golf is a component of the Association’s strategic and annual business plans. Scholarship programs introduce young people of color to the golf profession, Play Golf America Days in minority communities and successful supplier diversity initiatives provide minority and women owned businesses access to the $76 billion golf industry. The PGA of America is proud to be a leader of diversity and inclusion in the golf industry through our workforce, supplier, member and player programs.

The goal of The PGA of America is to make the game of golf accessible to everyone, everywhere. The goals of the PGA Supplier Diversity Initiative compliment this by seeking to:

  • Increase the number of minority and women-owned businesses that are “invested” in the game of golf.
  • Increase the volume of spend with these companies, and;
  • Leverage the above to increase participation rates in golf among people of color and women.
